A clearer view of the territory
Explore a territory or search mapped OpenStreetMap buildings near a city. Result packs show their source, dates and coverage. A building is a lead to research, not proof of a buyer or packaging demand.
No building search requested. Dataset dates, available geography and search limits will be shown with results.
Set up while parked. A geometric 45° half-angle cone highlights nearby records ahead of the selected heading. It does not follow road curves, predict exits, or establish accessible entrances. Keep a passenger in charge of screen controls while moving.
Preview position: starter territory center. No tracking active.

Maps and imagery may be years old, independently of the building snapshot date. Verify current receiving access. Display zoom above 16 enlarges existing tiles without adding detail. USGS source and usage. Alaska SPOT imagery is provided for viewing; this app offers no bulk download or offline imagery export.

Groups use a maximum 1.2 km distance between members. Proximity does not establish a shared highway exit.

Review extracted values before saving. Cost settings are illustrative until replaced with supplier-approved numbers.
Unsaved local draft
Optional browser dictation may send audio to your browser vendor. Type below to keep note entry in this app.
Freeform notes can suggest a name, email, or supplier; they never auto-fill quote quantities, prices, dimensions, or grades. Enter these manually, or replace the entire note with the four-line worksheet below. Review every value. Reading a new note clears old extracted fields.
Dimensions: 24 x 18 x 16 inches Monthly quantity: 18,000 boxes/month Board grade: 44 ECT single-wall Current unit price: $4.25/box
All four lines are required, in any order; no extra prose,
repeated labels, revisions, or negations. Use
unknown as a value when unavailable. Dimensions
support 1–120 inches; metric and unitless values are not read.
Quantity requires whole boxes/month (no k shorthand). Currency
is dollars per box with at most two decimals and no commas.
Grades: 32 ECT single-wall, 44 ECT single-wall, 48 ECT
double-wall, or 275# double-wall. Anything outside this grammar
leaves all quote fields blank; manual entry always remains
available.
Approximate RSC blank: (2L + 2W + joint) × (W + H + allowance). Confirm dimensions, board specification, waste, tooling, tax, and freight with your converter. Planning estimate; not a binding quote.
Your mail application opens a draft; RoadProspector does not send email.
Your local record
Notes stay in this browser on this device. Export a backup before clearing browser data.
Bring your own research
Import JSON with a prospects array and optional corridors array. Each prospect needs a unique id, name, and valid lat/lng. Imported data is unverified; preserve your source links and dates.
Imported packs persist after a successful local save. Exports preserve source evidence and sample/observation status. CSV includes all current records, with a data status column.
Know what you are using
Sample records are fictional. Public-source records may be incomplete or outdated. Inferred category, area, docks, and demand are estimates. No FDA/state registry checks, buyer intent checks, exact exit routing, background monitoring, or native CarPlay support are provided.
After a successful first load and service-worker installation, the workspace and saved pack can reopen offline. Map tiles, city search, and new scans need connectivity. Storage can be cleared or evicted; exports are your backup.
Notes, contacts, draft estimates, and imported packs are stored in localStorage in this browser. There is no account or server-side CRM storage. Anyone with access to this browser profile can read them. Delete controls remove saved notes; browser settings can clear all site data.
City / ZIP search uses a bundled postal-area dataset from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). These are approximate postal centers, not facility entrances. City queries and default snapshot searches are handled by this site's own Cloudflare application. Owned snapshot searches do not require an external Overpass request. Any legacy external OSM query is explicitly labeled in the results; those queries forward scan coordinates to Overpass. Snapshot dates and covered geography are shown rather than claiming current operations or a complete business inventory. Current location uses one fix for a search. Start foreground GPS separately watches movement while this page is visible; it updates the geometric cone using the existing pack and does not automatically query new buildings. Stop ends monitoring; hiding the page pauses it. Audio is opt-in and can be interrupted by the browser or operating system.
Maps load from the USGS National Map tile service, which receives ordinary request information including IP and viewed area. The imagery may be years old. The USGS service includes licensed Alaska SPOT imagery for viewing, with direct-download restrictions; this app does not package map tiles or imagery for offline export. Directions open Google Maps. Optional dictation may use your browser vendor's remote speech service; availability and handling depend on your browser. Browser speech synthesis provides optional readout.
No advertising or analytics scripts are included. Export files contain your notes; share them deliberately.
Tab moves between controls; Enter or Space activates buttons. Permission denial keeps typed notes and manual planning available. Failed saves and unavailable services are reported. Clear local drafts with New blank note and use Delete all saved notes to remove log entries.
